This is Pakistan’s 1st non-government water rescue organization. =====➤ The POWINDAH Water Rescue is committed to water safety and awareness missions. POWINDAH diving team is available for rapid response to provide government, NGO's and Families with water rescue and recovery services in PAKISTAN & AZAD JUMMU KASHMIR. =====➤ Their volunteer members are law enforcement, military, professional divers, who are highly trained and proficient at meeting the challenges of surface / underwater world. Based in MANGLA, MIRPUR AJK. The POWINDAH WATER RESCUE Team has been providing diving rescue and recovery services since Dec. 2010.
POWINDAH Services
=====➤ One of the main service provided by the organization “POWINDAH” is; “Water Rescue” it includes; on operations or training site stand by water rescue services, The organization members provide their services by making hand to hand human chain in water, either in river, pond, canal or any water reservoir for finding Under Water human body which was drown by any reason. Or for finding under water evidence recovery. =====➤ Another service provided by the organization “POWINDAH” is; “Training” it includes; on Swimming, (Normal swimming without any helping instrument), Fin swimming, (Swimming with long flexible fins or by use of fins either on the water's surface using a snorkel with either monofins or bifins or underwater with monofin either by holding one's breath), Suba Diving (Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving where the diver uses a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (scuba), which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater). And another training is Boat Paddling & Handling. =====➤ Water Sport is another service provided by the organization. It includes ; Water Ski also waterskiing or water-skiing (Water skiing is a surface water sport in which an individual is pulled behind a boat or a cable ski installation over a body of water, skimming the surface on two skis or one ski. The sport requires sufficient area on a smooth stretch of water, one or two skis, a tow boat with tow rope, three people (depending on state boating laws), and a personal flotation device. In addition, the skier must have adequate upper and lower body strength, muscular endurance, and good balance). Para Sailing, also known as parascending or parakiting. (Para Sailing is a recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle usually a boat while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that resembles a parachute, known as a parasail wing.) Boating, Angling.

=====➤ Mission Report is the report in which the organization “POWINDAH” describe that what kind of tasks they performs and what are the final finding of the projects, how many project or task they perform in a financial year, how many number of member participate in that particular task, where that task taken place and what are the main objective of the task, video, audio or image evidence taken form mission site or project site. Water Rescue Training
=====➤ “POWINDAH” water rescue mission is to reduce the number of water-related incidents and deaths by providing water safety and awareness, education and training. =====➤ Training classes are held at Mangla Lake near new passport Office AJK and also travel to upper Jhelum canal (UJC) for current water training. Diving and swimming is start in ideal condition warm, clear, fresh water and free from any danger, it is start with the idea swimmer and diver will be diving / swimming in similar ideal conditions with no stress and no dangers.
About POWINDAH
=====➤ You may be well aware that except SSG, there is no organization at national/Provisional level which can undertake water/underwater rescue tasks. Absence of this capability was greatly felt during country wide catastrophic floods of 1992 and 2010. There were number of NGO’s and volunteers who wanted to perform rescue tasks but unfortunately, they had no expertise, SSG Amphibious company “MUSA”is located at Mangala and imparts water rescue training to only army troops ex SSG. Hence, there is dire need to establish such a “Water Rescue organization” which can impart amphibious training to civil sector as well. =====➤ “POWINDAH” is name of the water rescue & training center organization.
